Gite Accommodation
The Gite at Les Deux Lacs, formerly the old garage, was converted and transformed in Spring of 2021. Brand new furnishings throughout and fully equipped to cater for all your needs.
Renovated to a high standard with a modern feel, but still keeping the original beam features, this really does feel like a home away from home, set in a peaceful and tranquil setting. The Gite has 2 bedrooms, with the double room being on the mezzanine floor, sleeping up to 4 guests, but with the additional sofa bed in the Lounge it can sleep a total of 6 guests.
The Gite comprises of 1 double bedroom room with an open plan lounge and a sofa bed. 1 Twin room with bathroom and shower and a fully equipped kitchen, a large decking area and outside dining with views over the smaller lake.

The Grounds & Lakes
Set in over 6 acres of pristine grounds, including 2 lakes, fruit trees, wild flowers and a vegetable garden, Les Deux Lacs really can provide you with complete relaxation or the fun filled family holiday you are looking for.
Our 2.75 acre fishing lake is stocked with Carp up to 42lbs, Grass Carp to 35lbs, Catfish to 60lbs including 2 distinct albino’s, as well as a number of other species offering a great experience for everyone. From complete beginners to experienced anglers, fishing at Les Deux Lacs will create memories to last a life time.
Our smaller lake, which guests have views of from the Gite, is home to our younger fish and the next generation of Carp at Les Deux Lacs.
Our Location
Les Deux Lacs is situated in a small hamlet of Le Menesplier, about 5 minutes away from the nearest village Abjat sur Bandiat and about 7 minutes from St Saud.
Les Deux Lacs sits in a triangle between the culturally important cities of Limoges, Perigueux and Angouleme in the North Eastern Dordogne. Les Deux Lacs is situated in the Périgord-Limousin Regional Nature Park, aiming to protect and enhance the natural, cultural and architectural heritage of the region.
The great diversity of its landscapes makes it a remarkable place of rivers, limestone plateaus, forests, cliffs, chateaux, natural lakes and ponds. There are some beautiful swimming lakes and sporting activities to find nearby, St Saud lake and St Estephe, to name only a few. You could spend many hours swimming, walking, cycling and taking in the stunning country side views.
